Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid found in the body. It is stored and synthesized within skeletal muscle. However, glutamine becomes a conditional amino acid anytime our bodies face physical exertion or stress. Strenuous exercise and even illness can cause the body to rapidly deplete its stores of glutamine. When this happens and the body cannot make enough, quick enough, glutamine becomes a conditionally essential amino acid. Recently, glutamine has become popular again due to Dr. Oz and Lisa Lynn's recommendation to add glutamine to whey protein powder for an increased boost in energy and immunity.
Glutamine has earned its place in athletics for a variety of reasons that have been proven with a multitude of real clinical studies on athletes and normal individuals alike. Glutamine plays a crucial role in cell volumizing, promoting protein synthesis, and decreasing protein breakdown. Loading with glutamine may even increase the secretion of growth hormone which may cause a rise in plasma growth hormone levels. Studies show that supplementing with as little as two grams of free-form L-glutamine may boost your growth hormone levels by as much as 400%, leading to better gains, enhanced recovery, and an overall sense of improved wellness.
Glutamine's highlights include

Why we use AjiPure™ L-Glutamine
For many reasons we'll list, but simply because AjiPure™ amino acids are the best on the market. AjiPure™ L-glutamine is 100% vegetable based and naturally fermented. This is not cheap synthetic glutamine or the kind fermented from human hair. YES, human hair. Many other cheaper brands claim they have pharmaceutical quality glutamine, but it is most likely the cheaper synthetic kind so that they can increase their profits. The fermented version allows for an end product that is of a white powder consistency and has virtually no taste.
